What types of disputes does Reuben Mediation handle?

We handle complex civil disputes across a wide range of areas, including business and commercial litigation, real estate and construction, employment, professional disputes, intellectual property, and general civil matters. We also offer services for appellate mediation and arbitration.

What is included in the mediation fee?

Our flat-rate fees include all preparation time, review of submitted materials, the mediation session (up to the allotted hours), and reasonable follow-up. There are no additional charges for administrative support or facilities.

How long is a typical mediation session?

Full-day mediations include up to 10 total hours, inclusive of preparation. Half-day sessions include up to 5 total hours. Additional time may be arranged in advance and is billed hourly.

Is mediation available virtually?

Yes. We offer secure virtual mediation services for clients across California using platforms like Zoom. Breakout rooms and document sharing are fully supported.

Where are in-person mediations held?

In-person sessions are held at Reuben Mediation’s West Los Angeles offices. If needed, we may be able to coordinate sessions at alternative locations by request.

Do both sides need to agree before scheduling?

Yes. Mediation requires the voluntary participation of all parties. We are happy to hold preliminary dates but cannot finalize a session without mutual agreement and payment.

Can Tim serve as a neutral if he previously litigated for or against one of the parties?

It depends on the nature of the prior relationship. Please disclose any relevant history when submitting a request, and we will assess potential conflicts accordingly.

What materials should be submitted before the session?

We recommend providing a brief summary of the dispute, key pleadings, and any materials you feel would be helpful to Mr. Reuben.

How do we reserve a date?

You can request a session through our inquiry form or by contacting us directly. A session is confirmed upon receipt of a signed agreement and full payment.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made within five business days of the scheduled session may be subject to the full fee. We understand that schedules shift and will do our best to accommodate changes with adequate notice.
